Mark Webber believes his former teammate has reached a "crossroads" in his career. The Australian admits he is confused by
Sebastian Vettel's body language after races.
Vettel, 31, is contracted to drive for
Ferrari until the end of the 2020 season. Rumours suggested that Scuderia was trying to line up Fernando Alonso to replace him.
Mercedes is on fire in 2019, and it doesn't seem like Vettel can stop
Lewis Hamilton from picking up his sixth world championship. Despite Hamilton and
Valtteri Bottas constantly beating the German, Vettel has looked rather relaxed after sessions. Webber analyses this.
"Sometimes he is relaxed when he has finished second or third, which one would not expect that he is satisfied with it. He has to decide what he wants in the coming years, which is really a fine line to do it and continue to have success," Webber said in an interview on Servus TV.
"Anything is possible in Formula 1. He is definitely at the crossroads of his career, even mentally."
