Helmut Marko is confident that Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen will get the best out of each other. The Austrian thinks the better of the two will win on Sunday.
At Red Bull Racing, the battle internally is getting more and more exciting. Whereas Verstappen had been firmly in the lead since the departure of Daniel Ricciardo, he was beaten by his teammate in the past two qualifying sessions. Perez can therefore count on a lot of praise from Red Bull's advisor.
"Sergio is on an absolute high and Max is on fire. So, it helps us to be better and helps us to win the constructors championship. Today, we will see the better one win," Marko told Sky Sports ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Perez and Verstappen will have to deal first with the Ferrari drivers from P2 and P3 respectively though. Charles Leclerc will not want to give up his pole to the competition and Carlos Sainz, after a mediocre qualifying, will also want to join the fight for victory.
