Former Ferrari star Felipe Massa believes that Max Verstappen is ready for a title charge. The Dutchman has been winning races since 2016, but has never been able to challenge for the title, but Massa believes he can do it.
Massa impressed by Verstappen
Massa says on the Ziggo F1 Cafe: "First of all, Max is a special talent. He is certainly a future Formula 1 champion. I have no doubt about that. Too bad he didn't have the car to win the championship so far."
Verstappen is ready for it
Currently Verstappen is still outperforming his Red Bull Racing car. "It would help him if he could get two tenths of his car," Massa continues. "Hopefully he will get that soon, for all the fans around the world.
"He has everything, the most incredible talent. We have to be honest; in the beginning he was very fast, but he also made quite a few mistakes. He missed a lot of opportunities because of his mistakes. That's normal when you're young, but now you don't see that in him anymore. Now he is ready for the championship."
