Lando Norris has had an extremely successful season. The 2021 Formula One season was the
McLaren driver's strongest performance to date. The young Briton says the value of experience should not be underestimated in the big move he made last year.
According to Norris, he has always disliked using a lack of experience as an excuse for not doing well, because according to the
McLaren driver that is "too easy". Yet he has noticed that having that experience is of great importance in his growth as a
Formula 1 driver.
Norris sees experience making the difference
That experience helped the McLaren talent post some impressive results in 2021, largely eclipsing teammate
Daniel Ricciardo. The always humble Norris attributes the big step he has taken, according to
Motorsport.com mainly to the "natural progression" that every driver goes through.
He has noticed that his experience makes a big difference because he has been driving in Formula longer than he has in most other racing classes. In addition, he says he was able to make a "fresh start" because he got a better car and a new teammate.
