Lando Norris is looking forward to the British Grand Prix. The young Briton wants nothing more than to be on the podium on Sunday. It would be a dream come true for the McLaren driver.
Last weekend, Norris was already close to a podium finish. He finished fourth in his papaya-coloured car. The updates McLaren brought to Austria seem to be paying off. Silverstone has extra sentimental value for the youngster: "I've grown up watching Lewis do well here. You see what it means to him and at the same time what it means to the fans and the supporters who are there cheering the Brits on."
A podium finish would be the icing on the cake of a special race weekend. "If there's one place in the whole season that I'd love to do more than anything, it's here. As much as I would love any podium or any win, whatever it is, the one place I'd love to do it. Even over Monaco and over all of those special places." The Briton almost always manages to peak at the British Grand Prix. He finished fifth in 2020 and sixth last year. His best result came in 2021 when he finished in fourth place, almost smelling the podium but just missing out.
