Toro Rosso reportedly tried to loan McLaren protégé Lando Norris and got rejected, but Norris still admitted that he was flattered by the offer.
Norris was quick to add that it's not him who deals with these kinds of things, but his management.
"I'm flattered by the stories, of course, but my management take care of those things," Norris told Motorsport.
"My focus is on Formula 2 at the moment."
Toro Rosso are actively looking to replace Brendon Hartley, who has clearly not been good enough according to the team. A lot of names have been thrown around, including Robert Kubica, Pascal Wehrlein and now Lando Norris.
Red Bull, and especially Dr Helmut Marko at Toro Rosso, have a reputation for pulling the plug quickly when they don't like what they see from a driver.
When asked about the whole thing, a McLaren spokesman was very clear in his answer regarding a potential loan move.
"They (Red Bull) believe in the talents of their drivers, and so do we."
