Force India's Sergio Perez remains confident in his own ability, and the Mexican just hopes he can get an opportunity to show his "full capacity".
The Mexican originally broke through on the scene as a Ferrari Academy graduate. Sauber snapped him up, and after impressing in his short spell, he made the switch to McLaren. However, his stay at the team from Woking was short-lived, as he was booted out of his seat after just one season.
Force India has been his team ever since, and even though the Mexican has impressed, the big teams like Mercedes and Ferrari haven't enquired about him. Perez remains confident, though, that this chance can still come.
"I think I’ve been doing a very strong job in the past seasons so on that side there is not a lot I can do. It’s hard to show," he told Racefans.net.
"I finish in the last two years seventh in the championship, in the front mix.
"So it’s hard for people to realise but I’m sure when they look at the performance.
"I still have my aim one day I will get the chance to fight for the best possible results because I believe I am as good as anyone here.
"I hope that soon I can get an opportunity to show my full capacity."
Strong words from the Mexican, who has indeed shown that he's a very capable driver over his years at Force India. Enough to warrant a move to a top team though? Time will tell.
