The
Formula 1 season has started with the winter test in Bahrain. On Friday
Max Verstappen will race for
Red Bull Racing, but on Saturday he will give up his car to his new teammate
Sergio Perez. A great addition to the team according to
Mark Webber.
Since the departure of
Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing has had a problem.
Pierre Gasly and later
Alexander Albon were not enough to replace him. Max was left on his own, which was not good for the driver and certainly not good for the team. In that respect Red Bull has made a good choice with the arrival of Perez, Webber believes.
Perez as a second driver
''In terms of points in the constructors' standings absolutely. No doubt about that. Sergio is experienced and has shown during the race that he can handle his tyres very well. I don't think he's going to cause a lot of incidents and I think he's going to score a lot of points.

According to Webber Verstappen fans also don't have to worry that the Mexican will get in the way of his new teammate. ''Yes, of course. He's just the second driver. Sergio knows that very well. His previous team was very close to Mercedes, so he may have taken away some useful information about the rival as well. But the focus at the team is on Max'', the Australian concludes.
