Oscar Piastri completed an impressive weekend in Qatar. The Australian driver won the Sprint Race and the Sprint Shootout on Saturday, then finished in P2 behind Max Verstappen on Sunday. Piastri was very satisfied with his race at the Losail International Circuit.
"Very happy, Turn 1 was nice. That was in the game plan! Really impressive pace, the hardest race i've had in my life. I would say Lando was just standing because it was compulsory but he's still standing," Piastri began immediately after finishing the race in Qatar.
Piastri also underlined that the conditions were quite challenging in the Qatari desert. "It was hot! With 3 stops, it was basically flat out. I feel like I've done 57 qualifying laps," the McLaren driver concluded.
