In the closing stages of the Formula 1 season, F1 teams return to America. In a preview, tyre supplier Pirelli outlines expectations for the Grands Prix in the United States, Mexico and Brazil and announces tyre choices for the upcoming races after Qatar.
First up is the United States GP, to be held at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, 22 October. The tyre choices for this F1 race are unchanged from 2022, with Pirelli providing C2, C3 and C4 tyres. The same applies to the Brazil GP at Interlagos. Both race weekends will also feature a sprint race.
For the Meixcan Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Pirelli has chosen C3, C4 and C5 tyres, one compound softer than last year. In addition, a new version of the 2024 C4 tyre will be tested during free practice sessions. Earlier, a new version of the C2 tyre was tested at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan. Also in Mexico, each driver will have two extra sets of the prototype tyre at their disposal.
