Problems for Hamilton: "Could be a turning point"

Friday afternoon in Zandvoort was not a happy day for Lewis Hamitlon. The Briton was finished after just five minutes and was unable to take part in the rest of the session. As a result he lost valuable time to collect data, but probably a lot more.

If the engine is indeed damaged, this could mean that he would have to take a grid penalty. At ZiggoSport Robert Doornbos says that there didn't seem to be much going on.

"By itself we don't hear anything crazy. DRS is open and then he just lets go of the guest, he lets it roll out and he quickly realises he has problems. We don't know what it is yet, maybe the whole power unit itself. That could mean he might have to sit at his pole and maybe take a grid penalty."

A lesser day for Hamilton

Something he hasn't actually experienced in the last few races. What impact it will have remains to be seen, but the consequences could be quite significant if the worst case scenario comes to pass.

"A sour day for Lewis Hamilton . This could well be a turning point if he has to take a penalty." Later today or perhaps tomorrow morning we will know what the actual impact will be for Hamilton.

Maybe the air in the plenum was too cold?

Lol you started following F1 this weekend for sure. Loads of people on this forum are just petty, childish and ridiculous.
