The Qatar Grand Prix will take place in hot and dry conditions. The temperature is expected to be around 33c for the start of the race, with only a 1% chance of rain. However, there is a small change to the wind speed.

Windy weekend in Qatar

F1 drivers have battled windy conditions during the running so far this weekend. Particularly on Friday. However, for the race, weather.com predicts the wind speed will drop to 5mph. This should make it a little easier for drivers to manage. It will also be interesting to see how much sand has blown back onto the circuit overnight and through Sunday afternoon.

Max Verstappen will start Sunday's race from pole position in Qatar after another great showing by the Red Bull driver on Friday. The now three-time World Champion secured his tenth pole position of the year, not taking into account the one he achieved in Belgium. George Russell will start alongside the Dutchman, while 2021 pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton rounded off the top 3 in Friday's qualifying.
