Zane Maloney is one of
Red Bull Racing's reserve drivers next season, the talented driver himself announced on
Instagram. The Barbadian also joins Red Bull's junior team, where he will face the likes of Dennis Hauger and Liam Lawson.
The driver has been known as a great talent for many years. In 2019, he managed to win the Formula 4 world championship. This calendar year, he also impressed by taking second place in
Formula 3 on behalf of Trident.
In Abu Dhabi, Maloney also got to make his debut in
Formula 2, taking the next step in his career. He is expected to race in this class next season to further develop in this way.
Maloney reacts to new challenge
On
social media, he reveals he is very much looking forward to the new challenge.
"I am thrilled to announce that I will be a part of the Red Bull Racing Junior Team and Reserve Driver in 2023. I am grateful for the opportunity and support, and look forward to getting the season started," Maloney said.
