The Goodwood Festival of Speed attracts thousands of people every year, and this year, the legendary event is sold out. Find out which
F1 legends all appear here.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed was founded in 1993 by Lord March. Motorsport needed to return to Goodwood, but it was not the plan to host a race there. Over the years, the event has grown tremendously and is linked annually to the
British Grand Prix. Indeed, Goodwood is always the weekend after the race at
Silverstone, on a free weekend for
Formula 1.
Which F1 teams can be seen at Goodwood?
Therefore, this ensures that there are many F1 promoters present at Goodwood. This year,
Williams,
McLaren,
Ferrari and Mercedes have already been confirmed as the F1 teams present at Goodwood. Nigel Mansell,
Daniel Ricciardo and
Lando Norris are named as the drivers present. Of Ricciardo, that does beg the question after his AlphaTauri announcement.
The event runs from 13 to 16 July. The full programme can be found on the event's website, but highlights include runs of iconic
McLaren cars, the Porsche 75, NASCAR, Lotus, MotoGP, and
Ferrari Le Mans winners will also make an appearance.
As usual, the teams' runs will be done at the Hillclimb. The hill at Goodwood is an iconic point of this festival, where cars always try to break time records. This year will be no different. Other highlights include the presence of
Sebastian Vettel for an interview on Saturday and Sunday and the aerial appearance of the Red Arrows.
