Daniel Ricciardo isn’t convinced Red Bull have the tools to achieve his primary target of winning the Formula 1 World Championship.
The Australian insists that with the right car, he is more than good to enough to knock Lewis Hamilton off his perch.
This all adds more fuel to the fire in his search for a 2019 seat.
“In this sport, you need the tools as well. I hope to get these tools - if I get these tools I would expect it from myself to get the job done” Ricciardo explained.
Daniel, 28, is currently without a 2019 contract for Red Bull and could be eyeing up a move to take over from Bottas should his deal run out at the end of the season.
He admitted: “Next year will be a big thing.
“I have another year with the Red Bull contract so we will see where I end up.”
Red Bull's Renault engine isn’t as powerful as the Ferrari or Mercedes.
Will we see Ricciardo move to either of the top two sides? And does Ricciardo have the ability to win the World Championship? Let us know in the comments!
