Nine out of ten F1 teams commit to F1 esports as the 2018 F1 esport season is launched.
Ferrari are the only team not to take part in the event.
Hype Energy eForce India team will enter the F1 2018 esports championship for the first time.
The team will use its base in Silverstone to help bring the professionalism of ‘real’ F1 to the virtual version.
Hype Energy will use their esports knowledge from previous counterparts Epsilon esports who have previously taken part in Call of Duty and FIFA.

Formula 1 team taking part in the esport version of the will help bring in a bigger audience alongside a greater awareness from fans.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our partner, Hype Energy, to increase its presence in esports.
“We share big ambitions for success in the digital world.”
The CEO of Hype Energy was also positive about the move suggesting the two organisations will contrast well.
“F1 esports offers Hype energy the perfect crossover between two areas of passion for our customers.”
Drivers will contest four qualifying rounds in the quest to make it into in the Pro Draft. This begins on the 13th April.
The nine teams will then select their drivers from the Pro Draft to compete in the series.
The drivers will then compete in three events to determine who is the best.
British esports driver Brendon Leigh won last years event.
