Build-up to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix continues to round out the first triple-header of the 2025 Formula 1 season, but in the FIA, it appears Mohammed Ben Sulayem is coming under pressure. Along with that, GPblog have an exclusive from former Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos, and Lewis Hamilton is on the front cover of Vogue for the Met Gala.

Ben Sulayem at risk of being challenged?

There have been many sacking and resignations coming from the FIA in recent times, with former Deputy President for Sport at the FIA, Robert Reid, being the latest to do so.
Reid's resignation post said that the principles on which he signed on to deliver greater transparency, stronger governance, and more collaborative leadership were "no longer reflected" in a shot towards Ben Sulayem.
Now, Formula 1 journalist Joe Saward has suggested, in his Green Notebook, that people within the FIA no longer support the FIA president, with there being a rumour that "a rival candidate will emerge from the federation's mobility branch in December".

GPblog exclusive with Doornbos

GPblog have exclusively spoken with former Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos, with the Dutchman firstly chatting about the title battle for 2025, and the lack of challenge from Red Bull and Max Verstappen.
The first three races of the 2025 campaign saw three different winners, with Doornbos highlighting that this year could see some "unpredictability". However, he knows that McLaren should be the clear winners come the end of the season.
“But if you look at it seriously, you think: ‘Okay, no.’ McLaren has the best car, and those guys would really have to throw it away," the 43-year-old said.

Hamilton part of the Vogue Met Issue for 2025

Lewis Hamilton's fashion icon status reached an all-time high today, with him being offically announced as one of the four co-chairs for this year's Met Gala festival.
Along with actor Colman Domingo, rapper A$AP Rocky and singer Pharrell Williams, the four-time world champion is a part of the Met Issue for Vogue.
"The moment is going to be huge. I think this Met Gala sends a really strong message that we must continue to celebrate and elevate Black history. I'm really proud," said the 40-year-old after it was announced.
