Ricciardo hungry for Hamilton challenge at Mercedes

Daniel Ricciardo confirms he will relish a challenge with Lewis Hamilton as team-mate if he was to join Mercedes next season. Ricciardo, who won last time out in China, had expressed his intentions of leaving Red Bull to join either Ferrari or Mercedes.

The Australian is out of contract at the end of 2018, as is Lewis Hamilton. But Ricciardo claims he’d love to drive alongside Lewis.

“I’d love to obviously be challenged against the best and Lewis is obviously up there. I don’t want to say it’s just Lewis I’m looking for but that would be a good challenge,” said Ricciardo

For the time being though, Ricciardo will be focused on getting the job done at Red Bull. Red Bull has been a team Daniel has liked and spoke highly of the team cohesion.
