Daniel Ricciardo has looked ahead to next weekend's Grand Prix in France on Paul Ricard, a circuit not many current drivers have driven on, and the Aussie has warned for the windiness of the track.
The French Grand Prix will be making a comeback after over a decade of absence, which means that many current F1-drivers have never driven on the Circuit Paul Ricard. Not Ricciardo though.
"I've driven here before, but I don't know if the track layout is the same now," he told Speedweek.
"We've already done two street races where the risk and reward are much greater than in Le Castellet because the Paul Ricard circuit is a runway with many large run-off areas.
"As far as adrenaline is concerned, it probably won't be that exciting, but that can easily be made up for with good racing action."
As this is the third Grand Prix in a row where the main language is French, the Aussie feels like he's mastering the language already.
"Maybe my French will be perfect soon because we spent a whole month in French-speaking regions after this race," he joked.
"Merci beaucoup, enchanté!"
