Ricciardo: "Pirelli should be bringing hypersoft every race"

Daniel Ricciardo has said that Pirelli should be making the new hyper soft compound available for every race as the Aussie thinks that it would make things more more as well as more interesting.
The new, softer compound will be in action for the first time in Monaco next week, alongside the ultra-soft and super soft compounds. Ricciardo would have liked to see the softest tyre to be available on every track, however.
"We might as well pick the hyper-soft every race," he told Motorsport.com
"We could use the tyre in qualifying in the first instance, and see where it goes from there.
"It would be a qualifying compound, which would make the difference with other tyres bigger, and it would give more options for a race.
Last weekend in Barcelona, the soft and super-soft compounds were nearly identical in terms of performance, which makes things too predictable, according to Ricciardo.
"On Friday it was already clear that everyone was going to qualify on softs and was going to go with a one-stop with the medium compound for the second stint.
"I hope Pirelli will do something about that, it's too predictable now."
Fair assessment from the Honey Badger. Making the range of compounds more diverse in a weekend would definitely make things more interesting, as teams could opt to go with completely different strategies. Tactics and strategy are one of the best parts of F1, but if everyone does the same, things indeed get too bland.
