Red Bull say
Daniel Ricciardo will not get grid penalties at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix despite his retirement on Sunday.
Ricciardo was initially given a penalty in Hockenheim for using too many replacement engine parts and with his retirement from the race, it has raised questions to whether the Aussie would receive a further penalty this weekend.
A Red Bull spokesman, however, has said that he believes his team will not be receiving any further penalties.
The spokesman would not specify which part of his car failed on Sunday but confirmed it would be replaced by a part on their quota.
Ricciardo took the penalty in Germany, so he could start fresh in Hungary - where Red Bull believe they have more chance of wiinning.
The
Hungaroring is one of three tracks where Red Bull feel very confident on.
They'll be hoping their car characteristics (high levels of aerodynamic downforce) will give them that extra bit of speed to keep up with the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari despite having slower engines than the top two.
One of the three tracks was Monaco and Ricciardo was victorious that day and then Singapore in September completes the three main races for Red Bull.
