Daniel Ricciardo has said that Red Bull can fight for the win in Canada next week, as the Aussie thinks that the chassis on the RB14 will give the team an advantage over their opponents.
The Aussie finds himself in third place in the championship table, only behind his old teammate Sebastian Vettel and reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton. He's over thirty points behind Hamilton, but Ricciardo still fancies his chances for a title challenge.
"Everyone knows that I'm a big fan of the Monte Carlo circuit, but Canada is definitely up there as one of my favourites," the Aussie told Speedweek.
"I'm in love with both the city [of Montréal] and the circuit."
In 2014, Ricciardo won his maiden Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, something which still has a special place in Ricciardo's memory.
"I have good memories of Montréal.
"In 2014, I got my first win here, and I got on the podium last year.
"We'll be bringing some updates and the hyper softs will be available again, fortunately.
"I'm convinced that we can battle for the win with our chassis.
"Hopefully we can put some pressure on our rivals again with a good result."
