George Russell crossed the line in 14th place in Singapore on Sunday, leaving him without points. Speaking to Viaplay afterwards, the British driver was very disappointed as he felt there was much more in it.
"We were very fast on the inters en very fast on slicks," he reflected after the race. Moreover, Russell knew that the problems from a day earlier had been solved. "Confidence is restore. The problem from qualifying has been resolved."
Although Russell felt that Mercedes could go for the win in Singapore, Mercedes stayed far away from it. Hamilton got no further than ninth place, while Russell thus failed to finish in the top 10. "We had that opportunity," the driver is convinced, however.
During the race, it was not Russell's decision to switch to slicks. "I actually asked the pit wall for a new set of intermediates," he is quoted as saying by Motorsport-Magazin.com. "Of course, that was a completely wrong decision, but we had to try something."
He had the fastest lap of the race. Better qually and maybe he could have won it.
"Fake it until you make it" does not apply here. If they will keep saying will not turn into reality. They see polls and wins all the time lately.
I don't get it what win where Mercedes going to get, best mistake driver
WHAT?! Get out of here. How can you talk about a WIN? Those MB Drivers are delusional.
Mercedes wont let Russell finish ahead of Lewis......look how they are throwing him under the bus. wrong tyres for russell in silverstone, canada, hungary and now in singapore
All decisions are aimed at helping Lewis and still he fails them. Toto and his 8X GOAT play is tired and in need of a new Leader.
