Williams rookie
George Russell says he is eager to get back behind the wheel of his FW42 after a miserable Australian Grand Prix.
Both he and teammate
Robert Kubica finished multiple laps down with the Briton finishing ahead in the teammate battle, ending the race in Melbourne in 16th position two laps behind the leaders.
Despite a difficult opening to the campaign for the team, Russell said he was keen to get back to racing after the first event of the season, adding that the Bahrain International Circuit would be an interesting challenge to overcome.
"I am excited to go to Bahrain as it is a track I really like," he said.
"I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a Formula One car for my second Grand Prix. Racing in Bahrain is tough as it is a very aggressive circuit, with high tyre wear and temperatures which puts a lot of stress on the cars. All in all, I am ready for the challenge and eager to get back in the drivers’ seat."
