Logan Sargeant made his debut in Formula 1 this year with the Williams team. Now, of course, the first half of the season is also over for the American and in these 12 races, Sargeant has not yet managed to score any real high points. The Williams driver has a simple solution to start doing so in the second half of the season.
In 2022, Sargeant finished fourth in the Formula 2 championship, which was good enough to secure a seat at Williams. Teammate Alexander Albon was many times faster than the American so far. Thus, Albon scored all 11 points for Williams so far in 2023. Sargeant does know how to start finding more speed in the second half of the season.
"Extracting everything from the car. Whether that's in quali trim, whether that's in race trim, just the way the car needs to be driven, starting to drive it like that. There's so many so many different little things but all just effectively impacts end result. So yeah, just moving towards that step by step and in many many different ways," the Williams driver revealed to GPblog and others.
"The first couple of weeks just really take a minute to step back. I have some friends over, my brother's coming over for a bit, so just hang out completely separate from racing and then get back into a bit of a training camp and back into the sim ahead of Zandvoort. " The F1 summer break is now over halfway and the drivers will return to action at Zandvoort on 25 August.
