Single point "hard work" for Force India

Force India logged their first point of the season yesterday, as Esteban Ocon fought hard to finish in tenth, and team COO Otmar Szafnauer they had to grind out the result.
Force India have been the number four team for two years in a row now, but they certainly haven't looked like repeating that achievement this year. In Australia, the Indian team had to do with a P11 and P13 finish for Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon respectively, and in Bahrain Ocon finished tenth to gain a single point.
"We had to work very hard to score the final point tonight," Szafnauer admitted.
"Esteban did an excellent job of chasing down Sainz in the final few laps and put significant pressure on him to overtake him and move back into the top ten."
Perez and Toro Rosso's Brendan Hartley were at it all night, as the Kiwi spun Perez around in the first lap of the race, leaving the Mexican chasing for the rest of the night. On top of that, Perez got hit with a thirty-second penalty for overtaking Hartley on the formation lap. A rough day at the office.
"Sergio’s race was compromised heavily by the contact with Hartley on the opening lap where we were simply the innocent victim," Szafnauer said.
"There was big contact, which damaged the floor quite significantly and impacted performance.
"The spin dropped him to the back of the field and a slow puncture forced him to pit early and adopt a two-stop strategy."
