Subscribed to F1 tv. Must say I didnt even notice the commentator. The commentator there whoever it was, was not talking like a little kid, to who F1 is bigger than life. And thats how it should be.
The Sky's problem is that F1 drivers with knowledge and fun stories are disappearing and they are replaced by nobodies, who ask childish questions. Guess it's good enough for average Joe, but if person has kinda more knowledge like many here, it's so bad to listen to. Also talking about Ted, he should talk less, too much empty talk, that ruins it all. If it's a boring race or nothing happens on track, then just let it be boring, it's still better than fake excitement that he tries to create. It's not just Sky with low quality content. I also follow WRC and can't stand the main commentator there. So I actually turned my setting into japanese commentators, not speaking not a single word in japanese. This is how bad the english commentator is there.
Wow... that speaks volumes. I do something similar when I watch European or World Cup soccer games. As I grew up with Italian commentators, I find ESPN's, a.k.a. British, commentary incredibly dull (I apologize to the British people on this platform... but there's simply no passion! Italian commentaries are better than poetry... somewhat absurd, but great in their own way). So, I either mute the tv and turn a Italian radio channel on or switch to Mexican commentary.?
Watch more games commented by Peter Drury. That guy is a legend
I'm grateful that I don't have to depend on Sky (via ESPN) to watch F1. The commentary on F1-TV is far superior. There's simply no comparison. Addendum: For those using F1-TV Pro, I highly recommend downloading the Multi-viewer app on your computer or tablet. It's an entirely different experience altogether.
I have sky to watch f1 but when ted comes with his bs i mute it ?
Mavric, you should get F1TV , they have different commentary. Did You know that Ted was once fired from SKYf1 and they had to rehire him, cause F1 fans went on a boycott of sky. So the flip the script, write in to sky say you switched to F1TV and explain to them why and may be if enough voices explain Ted wrongdoing, they would remove him, its obvious they did want to let him go but the fans voted to keep him, stay strong Mavric.
My understanding is that F1-TV is blocked in the UK. You are kinda forced to watch F1 on Sky.
It's theoretically possible, but I'm unsure. I recall a time when I was in the Caribbean and couldn't use the VPN workaround (as I didn't have F1 TV then), so I resorted to remotely connecting to my office computer in the US ?.
I'm not sure. but I'm grateful for F1-TV. It greatly simplifies following Formula 1 while traveling. I no longer need to depend on local broadcasters in each country. Instead, I can easily access it on my phone or computer and cast it onto the TV in my hotel/Airbnb. And the multiviewer app is just amazing. You can screen cast it as well.
Yes, VPN can work, but you obviusly need an really good VPN to properly stream.
Thats true, there's always gonna be that one pundit that you not gonna like, SkyF1 has a.monoply in the UK it seems, I somtimes use a VPN to change geo location , would.that work to beat SkyF1
Its justed i dont like on sky but everyone has there own ppl they dont like.and but sky not bad with some there sports ppl .i will stay strong veaga mate .and i think your right manualshift dont think uk dose f1 tv
Thats crazy, explpting the fans in the UK, I wonder if having a VPN would work.
Any country that has F1 like Sky behind a paywall wont be able to access F1TV until that contract expires. Here in Oz we get Sky through Foxtel or Kayo. I have been told, but never done it, that if a VPN is set up correctly you will be able to access F1TV from any country.
@ManualShift +326827-02-2024 21:01 Correct, blocked as in you can't buy it if you use vpn you can get around it, but sky also has the streaming rights in the UK, in contrary to viaplay in other countries
