During the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in
Imola, a unique car in honor of
Ayrton Senna will be on display. It is a former demonstration car of
Mclaren, modified by the French street artist Jisbar.
Special McLaren of Senna in Imola
One side of the car consists of three iconic liveries that Senna drove: Lotus,
McLaren and
Williams. On the other side is a work of art by Jisbar, inspired by everything the Formula One legend stood for.
The design is an idea of Italian fashion designer Matteo Macchiavelli, who was a big fan of Senna in his childhood. To
Autosport.com he tells us that the Brazilian driver was a great inspiration in his life.
May 1 marks the 28th anniversary of Senna's death in a tragic accident at the
Imola circuit. To honor him, the special McLaren car will be on display there, to be auctioned off later this year. The proceeds will go to the
Ayrton Senna Foundation, which is dedicated to providing opportunities for Brazilian children to develop.
