Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner has said that you cannot compare F1 to American motorsports, as Liberty Media recently said that they've thought about changing the format of the weekends to make it more exciting.
When hearing that F1 was comparing itself to the IndyCar series, Steiner couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Why would you even make that comparison?" he asked himself while talking to Motorsport-Total.
"When you eat steak you don't compare it to fish either."
Maybe Steiner was hungry when he made these comments. Anyway, he went on to explain why the F1 shouldn't change its format just because there isn't overtaking as in a series like the IndyCar.
"All racing series in the world are different and offer a different form of entertainment.
"Just because one sport has more overtaking than the other doesn't mean that the other will fade away.
"It's about more than just overtaking, that's what makes the F1 unique."
