The
Dutch Grand Prix is back on the
Formula 1 calendar, but not in the period planned for 2020 in 2021. The race at the circuit of
Zandvoort was in September.
The
Dutch Grand Prix was originally scheduled to return to the
Formula 1 calendar in May 2020 for the first time in 35 years, but the coronavirus threw a spanner in the works. The Grand Prix could not go ahead. For 2021 the race in
Zandvoort is on the programme again, but it has been postponed to the back of the season.
''Organiser of the Dutch Grand Prix and CM.com Circuit Zandvoort were ready for the first edition of the F1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix in 2020. Both parties are happy with the new date of 3-5 September 2021 and are looking forward to the festive return of Formula 1 with all racing fans and the millions of viewers around the world'', says Zandvoort in a press release.
