After winning his first race here in 2016, Max Verstappen finally climbed back onto the podium after the Spanish Grand Prix, as the Dutchman finished in third after a good shift from him in the RB14.
He's been on the receiving end of some criticism, but Verstappen has managed to bounce back in convincing fashion, as he fended off Sebastian Vettel behind him, who was on way fresher tyres as well.
"The car worked very well, even though overtaking was very hard," he told Paul Di Resta.
"Still we managed to stay close and then we had a bit of luck with Kimi.
"The wear on the tyres was very good and that's why we were able to get a podium."
Verstappen also revealed that he was more concerned about the car behind him than about the car in front of him.
"I didn't think we could overtake Bottas.
"I was mainly focussed on my front wing and keeping Sebastian behind me," he concluded.
