The crazy Formula 1 season was mainly about two drivers: Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The title fight will be discussed for a long time and according to David Coulthard, Verstappen's controversial and brilliant driving style will certainly not go unnoticed in those discussions.

The season was full of exciting overtakes and duels, but incidents and collisions also played a big part. The Dutchman is often determined and exactly that attitude and driving style is what affected Hamilton psychologically. The seven-time World Champion managed to win several championships without too much fuss, but the Red Bull Racing driver's approach created tension for the German team.

"Verstappen doesn't fear anyone. That's not part of his psyche. The thing that I find most impressive is, if there is a gap, he goes for it. There’s not even a doubt. That's how Verstappen got in the psyche of Lewis," the Scot told Channel 4.

Resembles Senna and Schumacher

The 24-year-old driver is now finally World Champion and according to Coulthard that is because of his fighting spirit. He's controversial at times, but he's also a brilliant person and athlete. The former Formula 1 driver believes that he deserves to be compared to Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

It's called instinctive driving. It's very selective, not for everyone, and it shouldn't be compared to mindless/reckless driving. It has nothing to do with that. Instead, it's a feature only legendary drivers have had. Guys like Ayrton Senna. If you watch some videos of him in Monaco, you should understand why is that. They get in the zone, Ayrton called it "different dimension".

"Verstappen doesn't fear anyone. That's not part of his psyche. The thing that I find most impressive is, if there is a gap, he goes for it. There’s not even a doubt. That's how Verstappen got in the psyche of Lewis" It is as pure as that. Hamilton has become a nervous wreck and will never recover from it. Max Verstappen finished him off. Sorry Lewis, time to hang up those pearls.

It is quite clear the Ham fans direct criticism to Max as they fear his immense ability, and also now realize that the Ham fake glory days are over,

Verstappen - Jumps I not ever battle without thinking. This comment is the definition of immaturity, and egotism, not talent, or skill, and does not prove masculinity. Such a narcissist individual.

This we know. Cutting chicanes, driving rivals off-track, overtaking while off-track, gaining unfair advantages, brake-testing rivals, poor tire management, etc! Yes Max drives like a maniac and FIA allowed it.

"The Dutchman is often determined and exactly that attitude and driving style is what affected Hamilton psychologically." Exactly. Poor Lucy will never recover from the trauma The Champ unleashed on him, not to mention his fangirlies on here.

Max is pure race river. F1 was never supposed to be a timed trial. It's wheel to wheel racing. Too often in the last decade engineers on the pit wall made decisions instead of the driver. Unfortunatley that aspect will never go away. But, it's time F1 got back to racing. Thank goodness for Max and the new hungry group of drivers. Goodbye Hamilton.

The Lewy groups only enjoy races were everyone is stuck in a train and they go wild for DRS passes on a straight. ? Max just uses pure racing skills that were common before the DRS era and in other race classes like Indycar for example. Just brake later than your opponent make the corner and claim it. As racing should he like.
