Verstappen more nervous about own team: 'With our speed, I might watch it!'

While Max Verstappen has qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix up next, the Dutchman also has another series on his mind.

As Verstappen is set to compete for starting from the best grid position possible, a race in the GT World Challenge Europe series' will also take place. At Paul Ricard, the Verstappen.com Racing team will also begin their season.

Talking to Viaplay, Verstappen explained that he kept an eye on his team and how they did in their qualifying session. He was also asked whether he could keep an eye on how his side progresses in France just by having a phone with him in the RB21.

"Well, with the speed we had yesterday, that's easy!" Verstappen answered.

Verstappen more nervous about his team or Bahrain GP?

The driver also explained why he is more nervous about his team, that is competing on a different continent.

"I'm more nervous about this (his racing team) than for the driving itself. I have no control over that, but I do over this (driving myself). You've of course done that for a long time now. They are now qualifying, and I like keeping an eye on that," he said.

"That's a bit unfortunate, but ultimately, it is what it is. I will catch up as soon as possible after the qualification," the four-time world champion concluded in Bahrain.
