A day to forget for
Sebastian Vettel; after being the fastest man in Q2, he qualified third behind Lewis Hamilton and his teammate Kimi Raikkonen. The gap between Vettel's
Ferrari and Hamilton's Mercedes is a big problem, the German said after the fact.
Vettel said that from yesterday on, something didn't feel right about the Ferrari car.
"The feeling wasn't right," the German said, "so I already pointed out that we couldn't fully go for it yesterday, but I hoped that we could've made up for it today during the qualifying."
Not only should Ferrari be worried about the team in front of them, but also about the team behind them, Red Bull. If it wasn't for a small mistake from Max Verstappen in the final sector, the Dutchman would've ended in the top three in his Red Bull.
"The gap between us and Red Bull is very small, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out tomorrow."
"I only would have preferred to see that the gap with Mercedes would have been smaller."
The third practice session earlier today featured rain, but during qualifying, the track stayed dry. The weather forecast for tomorrow says that there might be rain during the Grand Prix. Will that change things for Ferrari?
