Sebastian Vettel could well have ended his own World Championship hopes in the race today when he crashed into Max Verstappen. The Red Bull driver left a gap on the inside of the turn which Vettel tried to go through. Really, it was just a door never open. Vettel said he doesn't regret the move.

"I don't regret the move, with the outcome [hindsight] I would do different," Vettel told Sky Sports.

Vettel then went on to describe the crash himself. He was clearly not happy with Max Verstappen.

"I was pushing to get past, I wasn't desperate I just felt we were faster. I was catching and we had a good exit, the gap was there otherwise I wouldn't do it.

"He closed and in my opinion, he seems to push, you see with Kimi he's off the track," Vettel continued.

The German must now virtually win every race. If he finishes more than eight points behind Lewis Hamilton in Austin, he will be beaten in the championship.
