Even though Sebastian Vettel will probably be missing out on yet another title at Ferrari, the German has vowed to stay loyal to the prancing horse, saying he doesn't want to drive for any other team.
Vettel, a four-time champion at Red Bull, has not won any silverware at Ferrari ever since he joined the team in 2015, despite coming agonizingly close on several occasions. This season it looked to be his season in the first half of the season, with Ferrari simply having the superior package compared to Mercedes, but the wheels have truly come off in recent races.
His main rival Lewis Hamilton has been dominant, winning four races in a row now, with Vettel not even coming close in every one of those wins.
Still, the 30-year-old vowed that he won't be going anywhere any time soon, as he wants to keep fighting to give the Italians their first title since 2008, when they won their last constructors' championship.
"I won't leave Ferrari," he stated to Auto Bild.
"I'm part of the team and I don't want to drive for any other team.
"Our team has enormous potential.
"Obviously our last few races didn't go well and because of that we've made it very easy for Mercedes.
"Despite that, team spirits are still very high."
The potential part is certainly true, as Ferrari do have the tools to win when it comes to simply having the best package, but their tactical mishaps and strategic blunders are costing them too often.
