Sebastian Vettel finished on top in FP2 as he puts his marker down for the weekend. He insists that qualifying and the beginning of the race will be more important than usual.
Pundits and fans predicted that Red Bull will be the team to beat, but
Ferrari have proved they are not far off. Following the sessions today, Vettel talks about how his engineers have given him a strong car.
"We were able to find a good balance and that seemed to be getting better all day. I think this is one of our best Fridays so far, although there is clearly room for improvement," the German told the media.
"Saturday and qualifying will be even more important here and also the start of the race on Sunday is
crucial here. Overtaking on the Hungaroring is difficult, so hopefully, we will have to take the lead and take a lead in the first few turns" Vettel circulated the circuit 69 times today. The four-time world champion may now become favourite to win and almost level the championship battle going into the summer break.
