There have been rumors that Liberty Media looked into the possibility of Fernando Alonso joining Red Bull Racing for the 2020 season. Helmut Marko has said that this wasn't a possibility due to the fact that Honda wouldn't want to work with him again.
“We immediately said we have no need for Alonso,” Marko told Auto Bild. “It won’t work because our engine partner Honda won’t have it either. The name Alonso makes the hair on their necks bristle.”
Red Bull are aware that they need to produce a car capable of winning next season if they are to hold onto Max Verstappen.
“We have to give Max a car in 2020 with which he can become world champion. Otherwise, he will be gone,” said the Austrian. “Right now things are really going on behind the scenes. It will be decisive weeks.”
Alonso will focus on the Dakar and trying to Indianapolis 500 as he looks to complete the triple crown and will see if a Formula 1 seat is available in 2021.

Re: HIs days in F1 are finished
>Only because HE chooses.
He HAS achieved the greatest thing in F1 TWICE
2 WDC`s - He HAS 2 Le Mans triumphs - just NEEDS 1 more title for the TRIPLE crown of Motorsport
He IS already Ahead of Hamilton/Schumacher/Senna
who ONLY triumphed in F1
The triple crown - if/when achieved WILL prove that he,
IS the BETTER driver- Thanat can NOT B considered over rated

Marti..so I guess NASCAR is the only thing left after he wins Indy...Gene Haas and he are tight I hear..he'll give him a shot..don't think Tony Stewart would approve though. I can see it now..Fernando and Smoke get into a verbal confrontation and Tony would drop him like yesterday's news. Guarantee it..Smoke has one mean lefthand haymaker..

Marti: How what's your recent trip to Amsterdam? Do you take any pictures? Please share. Thank you and have a great evening.

Hell, bring back Barichello. Jackie Stewart is still alive too.
I do appreciate Alonso, but have no desire to watch him in F1 again.

The moment Seidl was hired by McLaren, Alonso was marginalized and Mclaren's performance and clarity of purpose improved. Coincidence? Not at all. HIs days in F1 are finished.

Overrated has been that causes trouble everywhere he goes. Let's look forward to the young talent that is coming through the ranks and not look backwards to a premadonna that can't beat Lewis Hamilton in his rookie season. He ruined Mclaren twice, set Ferrari back and cheated with Briatore at Renault. Enjoy the desert Fernando...

The most natural Formula 1 talent we have seen...

Ronrock1952 13 December 2019 at 24:20+ 5391

Mr. Shaw..perhaps you never had the privilege of watching Ayrton Senna drive a racecar..the most natural driver that "ever" drove in F1.

Doesn't matter if he can't get along with anyone and no team wants him.
