Aston Martin and Williams have announced their test program for the winter test in Bahrain. As in Barcelona, both teams are opting to divide all days between the two regular drivers.
The Formula One season begun with a shakedown in Barcelona, but according to F1, and the organisers of the Bahrain Grand Prix, it will really get underway during the winter test at the Bahrain International Circuit. From 10 to 12 March, Formula 1 teams and drivers will be back in action here for their final test towards the start of the season.
Prior to that test, the teams will announce their line-ups. Aston Martin was the first team to come out with the lineup on Monday morning. The British team will give Sebastian Vettel the first two mornings and the Saturday afternoon. Lance Stroll will do the opposite. The afternoon is especially interesting in Bahrain because the race is also only run towards the end of the afternoon in those conditions.
Not much later, the press release from Williams also came out, showing that the team from Grove have also choose to split all days. Alexander Albon will drive the Thursday morning and the afternoons on Friday and Saturday, while Nicholas Latifi will do the exact opposite. Williams had a good first test with no less than 347 laps on the clock. Aston Martin had a bit more problems and only managed 296.
