A week on from Lewis Hamilton's World Championship victory, boss Toto Wolff confirms Mercedes still haven't ticked off all the target boxes for 2018. As they head to Brazil, he's keen on completing the "unfinished business" the German team have on rivals Ferrari.
The gap between the two teams at the top of the championship has closed to 55 points. While Ferrari do need a miracle to come back, Wolff continues to spur on his troops.
"We have a big battle on our hands for the Constructors' title and we have lost ground to Ferrari in each of the past race weekends - even though we had the base performance to do better," Wolff said in the Mercedes report.
"Our target for this season was to win both Championships, not one title or the other, so our mindset is one of unfinished business as we head to São Paulo."
Last year, Ferrari beat Mercedes in Interlagos. Hamilton was too far back to challenge after problems in qualifying while Valtteri Bottas came second after starting on pole. Wolff has full trust and confidence in his team to pull off the result this weekend and wrap up both titles before the final race of the season.
"I know that both Lewis and Valtteri are determined to end their respective seasons on a high note; as a team, we are aiming to finish this year with our heads held high and with two performances that properly reflect the level of performance we have attained this year," Wolff concluded.
