I wouldn't say too much about it, because we don't know much. The details matter. If i remember correctly that race, Alonso shouldn't have been given a penalty in the first place. That was silly to begin with. But going forward, i admit it is not ok if Ben intervened. But that really depends on how it went: was it really an intervention per se or was it more like "you can't be serious giving a penalty for this". If the latter is the case, then there shouldn't even be a debate05-03-2024 08:14

Of course, i expected this. The project is already in full swing. In the the first place, if everything is abandoned now, the losses are already huge. It has to smth really bad to determine this, not some media scandal. If Red Bull had a close call with bankrupcy like McLaren had few years ago, that would be a serious motive. But it's definitely not the case. What we see these days around F1 is just cheap gossip. I assume at least some of it is poured to compensate for the lack of competitivity on track. But that's not Red Bull's fault. The others should catch them on track, so we can have something good to talk about. Instead we waste our time with nonsense,05-03-2024 08:21

Toto is subjective but that is normal in a way. But, leaving sympathies aside for a second, Lewis was the image of F1, the man to beat for many years. He has lost that status to a young, hungry wolf, namely Max Verstappen. No doubt, things are to a point very much dependant on machinery, but one can't deny that we are living an absolutely scinitillating Max Verstappen era. You have to give him credit for that, whether you like him or not, he is flawless right now, he is the man to beat. Mentally, physically, he is at his absolute peak. In order to beat him, one must raise to an incredible level, even in an equal car.28-11-2023 11:50

I really appreciate Max but his comments are getting annoying. I mean, it is perfectly ok to give an opinion, but you have to keep in mind the enormous effort and money that were put into the event. Even if you don't like it or don't understand the purpose, you still have to show a bit of respect. He is correct to criticize the timezone between back-to-back races, although he is obviously exaggerating about the "japanese timezone". Yes, F1 could have done better here, the drivers and teams should be treated right. Still, generally speaking, you need to show a bit more class and diplomacy when it is due.16-11-2023 21:37

I never underestimate the importance of a mental battle in sports. In fact, in every sport the mental side is decisive when you talk about a fierce fight. So from that point of view, Horner's arguments make perfect sense. However, in this case, no disrespect to Checo, there is also a difference in talent. He could never go toe to toe with Max for a title. I am not saying that he is bad, or diminishing his value at all, i just think that Max has an immense natural speed, he is a unique talent. And all this is putting aside the work, which i am sure they both put in, both have a great work ethic. Still, Checo can't match him because of that void in base speed, talent. If they were both at a similar level, then yes, the mental aspect would be key, but we have to be totally honest here: there is a clear division gap between the 2. One is special, the other is "just" a very good driver.07-11-2023 20:29

Hamilton had a good race, but the small gap in the end is deceiving. Max would have won by at least 10 seconds if not for his braking issues. However, it is clear that Lewis with these upgrades has every chance to finish P2 in the Championship with 4 races to go unless he makes another mistake like in Qatar.23-10-2023 00:16

Lawson is great, but pairing him with Max at this point in his career is like throwing him to the sharks. He is young, talented, wants it, of course, but i believe it wouldn't be in his interest in the next season at least. Riccie was good but that was some time back. Nobody can say 100% that he would be better than Perez. Personally, i would get Oscar Piastri, but McLaren won't give up on him in any scenario. So who is left? Lando is also tied to McLaren, Leclerc to Ferrari and so on. What is Red Bull supposed to do? Bring Hulkenberg? No. The strategy is clear. Bring a young guy next to Max is the best option. However, you must be clever about it. Lawson is the man for the job but he needs more time. People underestimate just how good Max is. He can break a young kid, albeit one full of potential. Liam is the future, not the present.11-10-2023 13:32

I love Max but i disagree with Lammers 100%. No sportsman is bigger than the sport itself. Also, i would say Max is a pure racer, with natural, immense speed, the best on the grid. Still, to say, he would have beaten Lewis in a Mercedes in his first year is a stretch. I am of the opinion he would have managed to beat Lewis while being teammates at Mercedes at some point but definitely not straight away. The driver that Max is today has been polished through defeat. His past mistakes have helped build the champion he is now.09-10-2023 20:05
