Oh, is that all for a great driver like Max? After 6 years in F1? Just 11 wins? Even Riciardo has 7. Wow! Lewis is truly Max nemesis.15-05-2021 20:32

Max was not average today. He has just been over-hyped. Daniel took a couple of pole positions from him when they were together. Don't get me wrong. Max is a talent, but he generally doesn't do well under pressure which is a quality he needs to master if he wants to become a champion.17-04-2021 16:10

Isn't the whole essence of racing is not to make mistakes, or at least make the fewest mistakes against your competitors?17-04-2021 16:03

Are we talking about the same Russell who crashed under the safety car (a school boy error) last year when on course to score his first ever point for Williams? Is it the Russell that Lewis had to publicly console via a twitter post after the unprovoked crash?06-04-2021 19:37

There you go. Seb hasn't forgotten how to race. Lewis greatness is not just because of the car. Max choked again when it mattered; he still has a long way to go before you can start comparing him to a champion. When the chips were down, 2 out of the 3 champions on the grid came alive.15-11-2020 19:06

Mr Marko, there is always a reason why people win or lose an F1 race. You couldn't get the job done. ,Move on.14-11-2020 16:57

There you go. "Max needs a Merc to win championships. He can easily win in a benz"....blah, blah, blah. He had the fastest car on the grid this weekend, and he came second. He dropped the ball again, just like he did in Mexico when he was supposed to be the yougest polesitter in history.14-11-2020 15:47

There is no guarantee that Max will ever win a Championship. Not because he is not fast enough, but because being fast is not enough to be a Champion. No team is going to reward you with a car that other fast drivers have helped them to develop. Michael didn't jump into a fast Ferrari. Lewis didn't jump into a fast Merc. You need to go into a team and create your own empire. If you are looking to reap where other drivers have sown, it won't happen because a team won't suddenly replace those drivers who worked tirelessly to make their car fast. Max will not drive a Benz as long as Lewis is there. With budget cap, simple economics alone means that there is no room for Max in Merc because of Lewis humongous salary. Besides, no team wants 2 drivers who are likely to take points off each other every weekend because It may reduce their chances of winning the drivers title. Finally, Bottas or George is cheaper, team harmony is all high, and they are wiping the floor with everyone. So they don't need Max, just like they didn't need Seb.03-10-2020 12:51

I can understand people's sentiment towards Max. He is a good driver with a lot of potentials. However he hasn't won anything yet. Ocon beat him to the F3 title in 2014. He has neither GP3 nor F2 title which the likes of Russel and Ocon has. Under intense pressure Max is known to crack. Remember when he was supposed to be the youngest pole sitter in history and one Daniel beat him in Mexico? Remember how he was supposed to win a Monaco race and One Daniel beat him to it?You all don't know how Max will respond to a very competitive teammate because he hasn't had one yet, aside from Daniel who left RB because the team was focusing their energy on Max. While he was a tad faster than Daniel, Dan was beating him in pressure moments. So until we see Max slug it out with a teammate who is capable of beating him on a good day, for a whole season, it's all 'ifs'30-07-2020 21:09
