Max Verstappen will drive the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort with a special helmet, with which he pays tribute to his father Jos Verstappen. The championship leader reveals the helmet design in a video on his YouTube channel.

Verstappen pays tribute to father Jos with helmet

"With the Dutch Grand Prix coming up, I thought that this year would be a great moment to show my appreciation for all the efforts my dad made for me since I was a little kid, to bring me where I am today, as a world champion," the championship leader explains on Verstappen.com.

In the helmet design the design with which Jos drove in his days as an F1-driver is clearly recognisable. Verstappen has also added his father's logo to the back, as was the case with the original. "It’s very personal for me, as it is really special to be able to drive with this design," says the reigning world champion.
