Perez does himself a disservice: early crash with RB19 in FP1
Sergio Perez put himself in trouble in the first free practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Mexican parked his RB19 in the wall within five minutes, causing a very early red flag. So for the Mexican, FP1 is already over after less than three minutes.
Perez is the only one blamed for the incident. When entering the corner, the 33-year-old veteran sends his Red Bull with updates too far to the left, causing him to go over the grass with two wheels. After that there is no stopping him and he loses control of his car. A considerable error of judgment by Max Verstappen's teammate.
The Mexican's crash comes at an extremely inconvenient time. In recent weeks he has failed to reach Q3 several times in a row, which has increased the pressure on him considerably. It therefore does not help that Ricciardo has been given twelve races by Helmut Marko to show what he can do in the AlphaTauri.
