Alexander Albon is less likely to be in a
Formula 1 car this season, but he does drive around the various circuits as
Red Bull Racing's reserve driver, as well as a
DTM driver.
Albon still at Red Bull
Albon has spent the last two years in F1 with Toro Rosso and
Red Bull Racing, where he made a reasonable impression. At Red Bull the Thai driver didn't come close to
Max Verstappen, so another driver was chosen for 2021. Albon hasn't completely fallen by the wayside though.
The Thai is doing a lot of work in the simulator for Red Bull Racing but is also competing in the
DTM championship. In that car, he briefly drove the
Red Bull Ring this weekend. The Thai has had one race weekend in the DTM, finishing fourth and seventh. His teammate, Liam Lawson, is ahead of him in the standings after a win in the first race.
