Eddie Jordan managed to impress with his own team in
Formula 1 and worked with many special drivers. In a new video from
Peter Windsor the former team boss looks back on that.
Schumacher puts down pennies
In the conversation with Jordan we first talk about the great German talent Heinz-Harald Frentzen. According to Jordan, the German was one of the best drivers on the grid and could easily have won world titles, but he had little faith in himself.
Ralf Schumacher was his teammate and Jordan has a nice anecdote about that.
Schumacher was still under contract with Jordan when Williams came knocking on the door. Jordan was always known to keep his leg stiff and that was also the case now. A ransom of 2 million pounds was paid by brother Michael and then Jordan let the younger Ralf go to Williams.
