Mick Schumacher seems to be moving closer to a
Formula 1 seat. The German driver is driving in
Formula 2 this season and is leaving Mugello as the leader in the championship. Enough reason for
Ferrari to give
Michael Schumacher's son more time in
Formula 1. Today the German driver was allowed to drive his father's old car, the F2004.
Schumacher to F1?
With two more races in Sochi and four races in Bahrain, a lot can still change in the
Formula 2 championship, but now Schumacher seems to have the best chance of winning.
Mattia Binotto will be looking a lot at the performance of the Prema driver because with an extensive junior programme Ferrari wants to promote a number of drivers to F1.
Whether Schumacher will actually get time in Ferrari's current car is not known. The Italian team will want to give the young driver time during the free practice sessions. A lap in Mugello in the F2004 is, in any case, a foreshadow of what is to come for Schumacher.
