Mick Schumacher makes his
Formula 1 debut, but it is
Sebastian Vettel who will drive around the Nürburgring with a tribute to
Michael Schumacher. Vettel's helmet has been specially adapted this weekend.
Unique helmet from Vettel
Vettel's white helmet for the weekend at the Nürburgring was specially adapted to Michael Schumacher's helmet in 2006. The example of Vettel, who later became a good friend, drove to his fifth victory at the Nürburgring in 2006, with his famous red helmet with Chinese characters and star motif.
Those Chinese signs, references to Schumacher's lovers, are now also on Vettel's helmet and Schumacher's neon red colour has now been used for the red in his German flag. In addition, the star pattern on top of the helmet is also clearly visible. Vettel explains it himself in a video by
Ferrari.
