George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli have both been relegated a single position by the stewards for failing to follow the race director's instructions.

The incident happened in Q2, after Esteban Ocon caused a red flag with 11 minutes to go in the session.

Before qualifying could resume, the two Mercedes drivers entered the fast lane before the restart time was confirmed.

After the session, talking to Sky Sports, Toto Wolff said he hopes that his drivers' will not be penalised for their mistake, as they 'jumped the gun' there.

After, the stewards have decided to penalise both the Briton and the young Italian. Both drivers have received a one-place grid penalty.

As a result, Charles Leclerc will be promoted to P2, while Pierre Gasly will be promoted to P4 on the grid for tomorrow's Grand Prix.

On the other hand, Russell will start from P3, and Antonelli will start from P5. See the stewards explanation below!
