Brown seems done with Red Bull: 'No interest in speaking to Horner'

Zak Brown was adamant in his verdict: Not only did the McLaren CEO think Max Verstappen had gone way over the line in his actions against Lando Norris at the Austrian Grand Prix, but Red Bull Racing was also said to have shown its worst side. However, the American is not waiting for a conversation about this with the Austrians' team boss Christian Horner.

"I am also disappointed in a great team like Red Bull. The management there only applauds this behaviour. But we have a responsibility at the pit wall to tell our drivers what can and cannot be done. We all have to respect the rules," Brown told the assembled newsroom at the Silverstone circuit press room on Friday.

Brown is not waiting for Horner to talk

The face of this team is the man who leads it, Christian Horner that is. Instead of expressing his displeasure through a media session, he could have taken a shot at Horner. Or, if something had not gone through the rules, the FIA. "That (addressing Red Bull, ed.) is the role of the FIA. I don't really have any interest in speaking with Christian," Brown said when asked about that.

This weekend, another confrontation between McLaren and Red Bull on the track cannot be ruled out. Indeed, Lando Norris showed during free practice that the British team are the fastest, but Verstappen and Red Bull were not far away.

Don't know why anyone worries what Brown or Stella said. At the end of the day it's wat competing teams do. The Horner and Toto clash was way more interesting as the Horner and Brown one. Brown see McLaren as the official "opposition" and try to be like Toto and Horner. It's like in politics we're the official opposition cries the hardest. Fiers it was Horner when mercedes dominated then Toto when mercedes lagged behind and now Brown because he sees McLaren as the official opposition. It's all good until it gets to silty. Brown is almost at a point of being to silty.

Zak is becoming more and more insufferable. This is a rivalry entirely of his own doing, Horner never told him anything, never provoked him, hardly ever paid attention to him. Zak has been whining since last year about everything to do with Red Bull, and is now prolonging a subject that was over the moment Max got a 10 second penalty. It’s pathetic.

And once again, more evidence that Red Bull/Max fans will personally insult people who criticise Max and just be trolls, instead of providing a counter-argument. And people think I'm the bad one for pushing back against this kind of behaviour. I don't really expect more from this one though.
